Most aromatherapists consider it’s safe to use certain essential oils after the first trimester as long as the pregnancy is going well and is normal and most agree the following essential oils are generally considered safe to use after the first trimester: Rose, Citrus based oils (e.g. Orange, Lemon, Mandarin etc.), ordinary Lavender, Frankincense, Bergamot, Cypress, Ylang ylang, Peppermint, Eucalyptus, Chamomile (only use small amounts in first and second trimester), Geranium (only use in small amounts) and Sandalwood.
