Fruits for skin – Super Fruit Kakadu Plum.

The Kakadu Plum, botanical name Terminalia ferdinandiana, is a flowering tree native to us in Australia. This wonder fruit is extremely high in Vitamin C, and Vitamin C is a wonder-ingredient for your skin. Vitamin C is essential for glowing skin; it firms skin, helps fade dark spots and acne scarring. Kakadu Plum is also known to have antibiotic and anti-inflammatory properties – so it is useful to treat Acne, soothe dry skin and can reduce the appearance of redness. Kakadu Plum also has other antioxidants which help protect your skin from environmental damage, like UV damage and environmental pollution. This fruit extract when it is applied topically is brilliant for your complexion.

Fruits for skin – Apple Extract.

Not only are apples rich in nutrients like vitamins A and E, but they also have a high concentration of flavonoids, good for their anti-aging effects. In fact, according to a 2004 study, apples contain a variety of phytochemicals, including quercetin, catechin, phloridzin, and chlorogenic acid, all of which act as powerful antioxidants.

Apple extract contains natural alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs), mainly malic acid being the most abundant. AHAs help to gently exfoliate your skin. They help to slough off the dead skin that gives your skin a dull appearance.

Not only are they natural and good for skin, but AHAs are perfect for more sensitive skin types that don’t respond well to harsher anti-aging products. They might become your go-to option for exfoliating and reducing the appearance of lines and wrinkles, especially if you have sensitive skin.

Skin that is oily, dull, or aging benefits most from the many healthy-skin promoting properties of apple extract. Apple extract can be used to reduce the appearance of pores. Your aging skin will look firmer with Apple Extract natural tightening benefits.

Look for Apple Extract in the Annmarie Gianni Wild fruit Serum and Phytonutrient Cleanser.

Fruits for skin – Papaya Seed Oil.

Another nutritious fruit, with a good source of the antioxidant Vitamin A and the unique exfoliating enzyme papain that actively removes dead skin cells. It profoundly and quickly penetrates the skin and has remarkable water retaining properties that help keep your skin moisturised. It assists in detoxing your skin and is brilliant to use for skin brightening, fading age and sun spots, evens skin tone and reduce wrinkles and fine lines.

Pomegranate Seed oil is prized for its high antioxidant content, and like most natural oils, pomegranate seed oil also hydrates skin. It penetrates quickly and deeply to create lasting, healthy moisture that won’t feel greasy or create shininess. It is also a very soothing oil. We find that this is perfect for all types of skin, even oily skin.

Red raspberries are also suitable for sensitive skin.

Raspberry Seed Oil is super high in phytosterols which help prevent skin damage and encourage collagen production. A Canadian study in 2000 found that the natural UVA and UVB protection afforded by raspberry seed oil is reportedly similar to titanium dioxide with an SPF protection factor against UVB rays of 28-50, and an SPF protection factor against UVA rays of around 8.

This allows the skin to breathe and feel alive and vibrant. You will notice a visual difference in the tone and smoothness of the skin. Your skin follicles are clearer and will unclog pores and reduce inflammation.

Fruits for skin – Grapeseed Extract/ Oil.

Grapeseed oil is one ingredient to look out for if you have Acne and Oily Skin. It also has an excellent reputation for being perfect for sensitive skin. If you have allergies to other oils, you may find that you will be able to tolerate Grapeseed. With its moisturizing properties, its light texture penetrates quickly into the skin. So if you have oily skin, you will find that this oil will not clog pores. Grapeseed oil contains anti-inflammatory properties, which helps to soothe and nourish the skin, especially skin with active acne. Linoleic acid is found naturally in Grapeseed oil, which is one substance that is highly beneficial for oily skin.

Full of antioxidants, it is a fantastic oil found in anti-aging formulas. With Vitamin C that helps to brighten and tone. It is highly effective at reducing the appearance of dark circles around the eyes in just a couple of weeks and is safe for use in the young and old.
